Bathroom mirror

Hi Folks,
SWMBO wanted a new mirror for for the new bathroom,
American white oak (Quercus alba)
For size the wall tiles are 8in (200mm) high

An interesting idea.

two questions;

How have you secured the mirror, selastic or floating under a rim, and

have to used any special finish to withstand the higher and variable humidity of a bathroom?

Any chance of a from view as well?
