hello folks
these are two of a series of helmets/mask's that i've been working on recently
they are not meant to be a direct copy of any historical helmet, I have taken idea's from several sources- films, games. history etc
white mallee burr 3"x 4"
burr elm 3"x 4"

Hi
WOW!, the phrase "and now for something completely differnt" comes to mind. Well executed, fantastic finish, I'm getting to like the mix of wood and acrylic, are you going to tell us how you laminated te two together?

George, visually stunning to look at.
It wasn't until I went back to the top of the page that I noticed how small they are in reality, they look big enough to wear in the photos.
If I had to vote, it would be for the second one with the Blue/Silver resin.

Roderick: the short anwser is-the wood is placed into a mold the resin is poured in, you let it cure then turn it.

Beautiful pieces there George, like the burr elm, could take it as being the corner of a mouth in the 1st picture if it wasn't a helmet.
You're on to a series here, so many options in these.
Cheers David
