Not quite a matching pair of offcentre turned goblets
« on: April 02, 2013, 10:02:19 PM »
Didn't quite manage it.The hardest part, getting the offcentre positions to match I think has turned out ok but the trumpet shaped bases don't quite match.
Can't remember what the timber is, bought from Yandles a few years ago and the label came off, I think it's one of the Brazillian hardwoods.
They measure 6 1/4" high and the bowls and feet 1 3/4"dia. C & C most welcome again.

Pretty good try though. Getting a pair of goblets to match is not easy at the best of times and I usually make a template of the first one. Haven't tried to do a matching pair off centre but would imagine it is really difficult.

A big applause from me for even trying to match off-centre turnings.

And it's not such a bad match at that.

Rod, that's looking good if not a matched pair.
