If at all interested, I've the pair of coil spring blocks which attached the chain to the lower frame (Platform Rocker) in order for it to rock ... are they old .. came off the chair which my Grandfather owned, and it was more than likely second hand too Him .. what happened to the chair .. woodworm got the better of it .. way before I'd taken up Turning .. if had been able to have rebuilt it .. the value would only be sentimental.

Funny you mention the spring system, that's what this rocker has. The base stays in full contact with the floor and the chair sits on a spring/rocker system.

Well I've the springs for starter, could even have the screws (Collectormaniac)(what) .. that's the hard part out of the way, the rest of the chair as wood I recall was all turned, but for the rocker rails and base frame, then more what was carpet as upholstery tacked on and brass casters  .. easy .. just need the plans and time in the first place.
