   The pyro looks very deep George almost like carving..... like the contrast you have achieved..... on a personal note
    would like to see the texturing going into the foot. or is it just the photo George.

The wood was spalted Beech Tony so very soft no the Pyro does not go onto the foot.

Don't take this wrong George (I like the effect) but the applied texture looks like woodworm galleries. Very interesting work.

Like this a lot and I'm still at the stage of loving bare wood so don't usually go a bundle on coloured stuff!  Love the shape and foot, very reminiscent of some lovely stoneware I saw at a show some years ago.
