Well the walk is done and dusted. We went on an amazing journey. The support we have received has been overwhelming and thank you to everyone who sponsored us. We are still collecting money promised. We shall make the draw when all money is in. Jane works at a school so it most likely to be in early Sept.
Our total looks like being over £4,400 this means with our two charity walks we will have raised £10,000 we couldn't do it without the amazing people we know.
For anyone who didn't follow us during the whole walk and wants to see how it went it is on the blog (see previous post)
Thanks again and good luck in the draw.
Ps. The total is updated on the justgiving site as we collect it, so doesn't include what is promised and is still to come in.

I am pleased to post this update.
After collecting almost all sponsor money, tonight I have posted a final cheque to Cancer Research UK.
Our total is an amazing £4,701.14 this means our two walks have raised the astonishing total of £10,316.14
The Winner of the draw for the clock was Steve Stanyer in Birmingham.
We can only thank everyone for their unbelievable support and while we have seen some incredible scenery, met some fabulous people and our belief that most people are good people has been proved. the sense of achievement has helped the family cope with the trauma of the loss of loved ones and for this we are most grateful to you all. And to top it all we have raised loads towards beating this cruel illness.
We have found a new love of long distance walking and while we shall not be taking on more sponsored walks for sometime we will continue to explore this glorious country we live in, so thanks again to our friends and family for your help.

Steve,

well done to you both for the effort it took and the amount you raised for such a good cause.

Maybe I'll win next them then.
