I made myself a new walking stick with a pool 8 ball as a handle, the stick is Iroko and the collar is Spalted Blackthorn.

i'm loving the 8 ball theme.

it's given me the idea of making my own 8 ball now.

it's a nice idea, how have you attached the ball? can you drill in to that stuff?

i actually want to try and turn my own 8 ball from wood.

i reckon making the 8 might be tricky.

its some sort of plastic composite, drills ok ,started with small drills then used a Forstner bit, cuts some grooves with the flexydrive motor and a burr for mechanical retension the used Z-Poxy to hold it and the wooden collar together, same for the collar to the stick.

its 36 1/2 inches tall or 92 centimetres tall, the only trouble with a ball ended stick is you can`t hang it on stuff so it falls over a lot when not in use.
