i'm still surprise that no one is interested in this pagoda timber that i should have available at some point.

bloody gorgeous stuff.

The wife reliably informs me 'I don't need anymore wood!'

Looks to be fast growing though, look how wide the growth rings are.

we always need more wood bryan...


the fast growth is just the initial stage to establish itself. after that it's pretty slow, a bit like an oak.

i also know that this particular tree was heavily cut back quite often which induces faster growth so this is not typical of the species.
