Walnut bowl
« on: October 27, 2018, 05:18:19 PM »
Straight out of the workshop, punky in places but have managed to harden them up with a good dose of sander sealer(see last photo). Made from Walnut it has so much going on in the grain even some light feathering Finished with sander sealer and then buffed on a three wheel system.

C & C welcome

Hi Derek,

There really is some serious grain going on in this piece of wood. Shame that the growth wood/heart wood line was not stronger, it would have added even more to the effect.

You've done well to recover from all the torn wood seen in the bottom photo, where it's soaking with sealer.

Great bowl to end with.

Thank you Bryan. Just hope that the other wood has so much going on without the tear out problem. There was some crutch wood in there.
