Candlesticks

Not my original idea but I liked them so made some.

After spending 5 days in my freezer, these 3 have decided it's too blooming cold around here and have packed their bags and are currently flying south, a long way south.

You can't see the tops, but they are candlesticks.

Oh Lord, Lead me not into temptation…

...Oh who am I kidding, follow me, I know a shortcut!

Those eggs must have hurt the chicken some when they came out, with those pointy ends!

They have the fun factor dr4gonfly, they would also work as a lamp in a child's room and I could see you selling quite a few of them to quite a few happy mums.
I hope that you don't mind me copying them to make them into lamps. Les

Thank you folks for the comments.

I've covered these in white Gesso, I have used both white acrylic and white chalk paint previously (we use what we have, don't we), but find this the best finish. And a coat of Acryic varnish over everything when they are finished.

Les, Thanks, it took a couple of tries to make a flat orange triangle look like a carrot nose. I did not want to add a small turned carrot to these, so I found the trick was not to make it too regular. It also took a white dot in each eye to bring them to life and mot just be a black blob pretending to be coal.

Fuzzy, not quite sure where Egg's come into anything; the body shape maybe?

Les, you're correct, the shop that I've put them in seems to be selling them quite happily. And as for children's lamps, I can see that as well, although I think a thicker neck would be needed. These are 16.5cm (from my storyboard) plus the base height. And I like the idea, so maybe I'll go along with you as well. Of course, that leads into all sorts of other turned character lamps, doesn't it?
