  Like the box from yesterday so much made a second one today

Then did a hollow form with the left over Spalted Beech, top/finial is Coco Bolo 5" tall and 5" wide.

Hi George,

 What is it you dont like, Im uncertain didnt have a piece of African blackwood big enough but had this little piece of Coco bolo su tried it me not sure may end up turning usual finial and ebonising it. Or is the actual shape of the form and how would you change it?

I think the boxes are great and I may have a go myself ( more things on my "to do list"!)

I'm not sure about the hollow form though - I like the form but I think it's the finial lid that doesn't work for me.  I would perhaps try shaping it to follow the curves of the form and changing the shape of the finial.  

And maybe would look better in black?

or maybe just throw the top bit away
