This will be a fantastic opportunity to see Richard in action and see how he creates his master pieces. \nRichard has been involved in woodwork since leaving school in 1996\, at 16. He qualified as a joiner achieving NVQ level 3 and\, while working in the trade for his father\, he discovered Woodturning. He began by turning components for small pieces of furniture and cabinetry that he had made but found that he got more and more involved with the turning side of things.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us in store as we will have Andrew Hall aka “Hat Man” doing a two day live demonstration on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th August. This will be a fantastic opportunity to see Andrew in action and see how he creates his fantastic hats. \n Andrew first became interested in woodturning at the age of 14 when his woodwork teacher tutored a small group of keen students in woodworking\, furniture making and woodturning. On leaving school and after a five-year apprenticeship\, Andrew’s teaching career began with the opportunity to teach apprentices at three colleges across the north east of England. After teaching carpentry and joinery for 20 years\, he decided to rekindle his love of woodturning and has now been turning professionally for 12 years.
